Hello!

I am an economist and urban planner, working as a lecturer at department of Human Geography, Planning and International Development, University of Amsterdam.

My latest contributions on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on mobility:

What can we learn from the COVID-19 pandemic about how people experience working from home and commuting (with Nikolaeva, A., Nello-Deakin, S., & te Brömmelstroet, M.)

Living without commuting: experiences of a less mobile life under COVID-19 (with Nikolaeva, A., Lin, Y. T., Nello-Deakin, S., & von Schönfeld, K. C.)

teach courses at bachelor and master levels and supervise various thesis projects.

In 2023 I was nominated for the Teacher of the Year Award at Wageningen University.

Previously, I researched the spatial impact of the Noord/Zuidlijn metro in Amsterdam on station areas, and especially land-use changes, changes in functions and in function mix, and on the perception of public space by users.

I hold a PhD degree from the University of Groningen. My dissertation focused on the role travel mobility plays in social networks of individuals.

You are most welcome to contact me in English, Dutch, German or Hebrew.
